A Reimagined Floorplan
This brick residence was transformed to better serve the evolving needs of its residents, beginning with a complete reconfiguration at the rear of the house. What were once two modest bedrooms have been merged into a serene, expanded primary suite featuring a spa-like bathroom and custom built-in wardrobes. A compact hall bath was reduced to make room for this new layout, with no compromise to flow or usability elsewhere in the home.
A Sunroom That Connects and Uplifts
The new sunroom addition, situated just off the kitchen and dining areas, brings in abundant light and creates a visual and physical connection to the backyard. With a vaulted ceiling, skylights, and a bifold door assembly that opens fully to the patio, the space strikes a balance between openness and retreat. Black-framed windows and crisp finishes create contrast, while a new passthrough connects the kitchen to the sunroom with a counter-height bar.
Thoughtful Transitions and Refined Materials
Natural textures and custom woodwork define the interiors, including a built-in storage wall in the new study and live-edge furnishings that soften the modern palette. The dining room maintains its original ceiling but benefits from the extended sightlines and natural light introduced by the sunroom addition.
A Study Designed for Focus
At the end of the dining room, a former bay window was replaced with elegant French doors, leading to a newly built home office. With custom cabinetry, ample daylight, and views of the backyard, this space supports quiet work without distraction.
Primary Suite Comfort and Utility
The reimagined primary suite anchors the home’s new layout. Its bathroom includes a walk-in shower with dual heads and built-in bench, a freestanding tub, and dual vanities. A palette of soft stone, brushed fixtures, and mosaic tile provides comfort, durability, and cohesion.
