George Papaheraklis
“I’m a builder. I love the creation. Ever since I can remember I have been interested in “ART”. My philosophy which I imbue into my staff is the acronym – ART – Aesthetically Reimaging Together. This is essentially what we’re doing with every project we work on. We work with the homeowner, we create together, and we build new spaces – be it a house, an addition, a kitchen, bathroom, basement or patio.
With each project the team (the architect, the homeowner and FineCraft) is aesthetically reimagining the spaces together. I studied architecture at the University of Maryland, and when I finished my degree I realized that I enjoyed building so much that I really didn’t want to be in an office. I decided that with my background and my experience in building, I would be uniquely situated to combine my fortes for and with my clients. Taking somebody’s dream and bringing it into reality in all the details that one wants is the essence of ART.

We’ll meet with you and provide you with a complimentary site visit and consultation. If you have questions we’ll provide answers. If you have plans ready to be estimated we’ll provide you with an estimate. If you don’t, we can help.
Getting to Know the FineCraft Family

Estimating Your Project
Estimating a project depends on size and workload. Since we produce estimates in the order received, it’s not unusual to wait 2-3 weeks before getting an estimate back. We’ll keep you informed about our progress.
Going Over the Estimate
Once we deliver the estimate you may need assistance in understanding the details, and that’s why we’re here. We consider it our job to help inform you about the nuances of your project.
Getting Started
Before we get started on your project we have a pre-construction meeting to go over the starting date, hours of operation, what door to use to get in and out of the house, what plants to save, etc. We’ll go over over important terms if we haven’t already, and let you know who to contact for what.
Your team
You’ll have a team that will be in charge of executing the job and ensuring all goes according to plan. This includes coordinating inspections along the way. If you have any questions you’ll always have a Project Manager and a Project Coordinator to go to.
Finishing the project
The work we perform is guaranteed for 1 year. Within this timeframe feel free to contact us so that we can address what’s needed. No worries, you’ll have a designated person to help with anything that needs a little TLC after the project is completed.

We recently hired FineCraft Contractors for a complete down-to-the-studs renovation of our home, and the results are stunning. Remodeling an entire house is notoriously stressful, but the team at FineCraft made the process feel manageable and transparent. What impressed us most was their attention to detail. We hired FineCraft to renovate our kitchen, which also included design services. It was a full renovation of the space, including new patio doors and a new window. The existing kitchen was completely demolished, and an entirely new design was implemented. The quality of the custom cabinets built by FineCraft, as well as the overall workmanship, was exceptional. The FineCraft project team was also very responsive in addressing our requirements and resolving any concerns. We highly recommend FineCraft as an option for anyone considering a renovation or new build.
We recently completed a whole home renovation with FineCraft Contractors as our builder. In addition to all new windows and hardwoods throughout, they added a substantial addition to the back of the home. From the start, FineCraft understood the complexities of the project and gave us a fair quote that beat several competitors. They were able to work within our budget to accommodate all of the big items and most of the small items on our wishlist. With a 150 year old townhouse in DC, it was important to us to retain as much character as possible. Working with our architect, FineCraft had many thoughtful suggestions that elevated the finished product. When an issue arose on the job site they were very proactive and creative in finding a solution to continue moving forward. My wife and I especially appreciated that FineCraft employs a dedicated buyer whose job is to source all products and materials. We did the shopping and FineCraft took over the responsibility of purchasing and delivering (and returning when necessary). That kept the project on track. Another nice touch is that they cleaned the house from top to bottom before we moved in, even providing lovely bath towels, handsoap and dispensers. It’s a little thing, but at the end of a long project, and a long day of moving, it showed their care and level of detail. We would recommend using FineCraft.

Wow, where to begin. FineCraft was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. As first time homeowners, we were quite anxious looking for reliable contractors after hearing so many horror stories, but boy did FineCraft deliver. The craftsmanship and care of the contracting team, including Selvyn, Otto, and Saul was absolutely incredible. They would also regularly go above and beyond to accommodate any last minute adjustments we asked for. My wife and I loved how they would offer meaningful aesthetic opinions on the various projects as well. The administration was similarly excellent. Nick, our project manager, telescoped out every single step, was 100% transparent on pricing, and was responsive at nearly every hour of the day over text. He even helped facilitate while we had to go out of town during construction by sending us updates over seas. Aside from their competence, it was refreshing that every person we spoke to was incredibly sweet, patient, and willing to help. While FineCraft is slightly pricier (honestly not by much) relative to other contractors we spoke to, they are worth every penny. They really set an incredibly high bar for professionalism. We will only be working with this team from now on.
We have Finecraft doing a large renovation project for us — two room additions, a kitchen remodel, and updating the rest of our main floor of our family home. We have been impressed throughout the entire process, from their attentive sales team, to their amazing architect, to their very talented interior designer, to their construction crew, our experience has been positive. Everyone is competent and professional.
